Payment terms
How does payment work?
Szerzi gives You the option to choose how you want to pay while ordering services. Payments can be made online, by using a credit card. Cash, wire transfer, or other forms of payment are currently not supported by Szerzi.
Payment will be automatically registered at the end of the payment process. After ordering the service, Szerzi will reserve the service fee from the specified credit card for a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 days. The invoice for the purchase will be available in your Szerzi account within 24 hours.
Payment methods
Szerzi seeks to add new payment methods to its service based on Customer requests. Szerzi currently supports the following payment methods:
Online credit card payment: the easiest way to pay. You will complete the transaction on the secure interface provided by Szerzi and its Payment Provider (Stripe or UniCredit Bank) and we automatically activate your order once the appropriate amount has been reserved. Our payment providers may accept VISA, Mastercard, VISA Electron (depending on your card provider), and Maestro cards that have a CVC code on their back. In case your Maestro card does not have a CVC code, please contact your bank for more information. Cards that are produced solely for electronic purposes may only be accepted by us if the providing bank has authorized it for online usage. Please contact your bank to verify whether your card may be used for initiating purchases on the internet.
Szerzi does not store credit card details. Want to know how the payment process works for each payment provider supported by Szerzi? Continue reading.
Payment using the UniCredit virtual card acceptance system
In some cases, Szerzi will provide you with a virtual card acceptance terminal provided by the UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt. to make the purchase. When using the system of UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt., Szerzi uses a widely used and accepted virtual card acceptance system that is secure in all its elements. All participants in the transaction can only access information that is relevant to them.
By using the UniCredit payment process, card payment is simple and convenient for you, online transactions can be continuously monitored, and Szerzi will only have access to the data relevant to your purchase and service, while the credit card data will only be received by UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt. - all of which will provide you with maximum security. In UniCredit's virtual card acceptance system, the consideration for the purchased service - the amount paid - is immediately withheld on your card account.
In addition to the mandatory security features, the UniCredit bank payment site uses the so-called 3D Secure security solution developed by the international card companies MasterCard and Visa. 3D Secure, which can be identified from the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode logos to the customer initiating the transaction, provides the highest security currently available. This is because in the case of a 3D Secure transaction if your credit card is also 3D Secure, you will provide your unique identification code to be used for online purchases. Thus, for these transactions, authentication of the issuing bank before the payment process ensures clear identification.

About the UniCredit system security
The UniCredit virtual card acceptance system can connect Szerzi with customers via an encrypted (https://) channel and also establishes a connection between UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt. and Szerzi via a secure channel.
The technical processing of internet card payments is performed by First Data Magyarország Kft., the authorized partner of UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt., which has its platform at the disposal of our customers. The bank payment page uses the following URLs:
https://secureshop.firstdata.lv
https://secureshop.firstdata.hu
The bank payment site uses an RSA 2048-bit encrypted certificate (CA), which ensures the complete security of the data provided there via the TLS 1.0 channel.
The payment process with UniCredit virtual card acceptance system
- You choose to purchase a service in your Szerzi that meets your needs, such as a Szerzi-credit bundle or a contract. If you have not provided your billing information in your account previously, Szerzi will ask you to add the required information. In the footer of the payment window, you can see the UniCredit logo, the accepted card types, and useful information. You can initiate the payment after reviewing the information.
- You will then be redirected to the bank's payment page. The card details (name, card number, expiration date, 3-digit CVC, or CVV validation code) must be entered on the payment page that contains the UniCredit Bank logo.
- If the card used for payment is 3D Secure, you must also provide the identifier you received from the issuing institution for authentication.
- This is followed by an online authorization request to accept the card. If this was successful, the transaction will take place.
- Eventually, the system will redirect you back to Szerzi, where you will be notified of the success of the transaction.
If you would like more detailed information on the outcome of the purchase transaction, please contact your account holding bank.
Payment using the Stripe virtual card acceptance system
In some cases, Szerzi will provide you with a card acceptance terminal provided by Stripe to make your purchase. The Stripe card acceptance system is secure, convenient and can be used directly within the Szerzi without being redirected to another website. In the Stripe system, as in other systems supported by Szerzi, Szerzi does not store card data. Szerzi handles only the transaction and billing data relevant to Szerzi. Like the UniCredit payment system, Stripe supports 3DSecure, an enhanced security payment mechanism for the maximum security available to you with current technologies.

How does invoicing work?
When the payment for the order is credited, a valid invoice will be issued, which You can use for your accounting.
Your invoice will be available in Szerzi within 24 hours of receiving your payment, and you can view and download all your invoices at any time in your Szerzi account. The e-invoice is valid in electronic form, it has a digital signature and a timestamp, and it complies with the Hungarian legal regulations and the format requirements of NAV in all respects. The e-invoice itself is a PDF file with everything previously mentioned embedded in it. The authenticity of the electronic signature can be verified based on this description.
How is VAT determined?
Szerzi's service fees are subject to VAT. The VAT value of the Lawyers' consultation service depends on the Lawyer's taxation. The services of a Lawyer may also be tax-free. Regardless, you will see and pay the gross price in this case as well. In most places, we have indicated the gross (including VAT) prices, in other, special cases we will draw special attention to this difference. The gross values have been calculated with the Hungarian VAT rate of 27%, but the actual VAT burden may differ from this. If you order from abroad, you might have to pay less.
Every service you can order in Szerzi works with an automated service establishment background and thus falls under the category of services that can be provided remotely.
The following EU VAT rules apply to these services:
Subscriber from Hungary (both business and personal): 27% VAT
Intra-EU business subscriber (has EU tax number): reverse tax, invoicing is VAT free
Intra-EU personal subscriber: 27%
Non-EU subscriber (both business and personal): outside of the territorial scope of the VAT Act, invoicing is VAT free

The addresses provided in your orders are checked by an automatic fraud detection algorithm and compared with other data collected during the order (IP address, payment details, etc.). If we notice a discrepancy between the provided foreign address and the other data, we may ask you to verify the authenticity of the address or decline the payment.
